Egg freezing Success rates

Egg freezing success rates

Not all eggs collected will be suitable for freezing and not all embryos will result in a pregnancy when transferred.

The number of eggs frozen and the age at which they were frozen can assist your doctor in predicting the approximate chance of having a baby from your frozen eggs.

For example, live birth predictions based on the age at which the eggs were frozen suggest that,

At the age of 35, the chance of having a baby,

  • from 10 eggs frozen is approximately 70%

  • from 20 eggs frozen is approximately 90%

Whereas,

At the age of 40, the chance of having a baby,

  • from 10 eggs frozen is approximately 30%

  • from 20 eggs frozen is approximately 50%

By the age of 44, the chance of having a baby,

  • from 10 eggs frozen is less than 10%.

  • from 20 eggs is less than 15%
